Bev Smith Memorial Tournament

Bev Smith passed away in April of 2008 to Breast Cancer. She was a huge inspiration to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. 

Bev was a past committee member, Treasurer, Coach, Manager and scorer of not only our club teams but also was heavily involved with Johnsonville and Saints in Wellington when she lived there.  She was also an Auckland Under 13 Girls Coach and involved with the Hutt Valley Under 17 Girls team.  

In honour of what Bev contributed to our Club and to softball in general, we have the pleasure of holding this Premier Women’s Tournament in conjunction with donating funds to the Breast Cancer Cure Research Trust.

This tournament is an annual event in recognition of what Bev Smith meant to all those that knew her as well as creating awareness to Breast Cancer plus supporting females in softball.
